How would you feel if you found out the number of people who saw and read your last tweet? It would feel great! Well, you may soon find that out according to the latest reports, Twitter is all set to experiment with answering that question for some select users. Underneath each and every post, there will be a section which will indicate the number of views a tweet has received. Such a function has been available to a lot of advertisers for quite some time now, but this is the first time that the micro-blogging platform has tried the attribute publicly for the individual user.

Likely outcome of such an experiment

The members who have few followers will be pleased to know that many people who are not actually their followers are reading their tweets. For these people, this feature is surely something to cheer about. The people or organizations that have a large following will be pleased to see the number of people they are reaching with their tweets. If they are not reaching the number they want, it will be easier to set a goal and measure their progress with each and every tweet.

An experiment with an uncertain future

Tweet views are a very helpful way for people and organizations to find the actual reach of their tweets, which is something that these organizations have never been able to do without being a paying advertiser.

This feature is surely going to be helpful for all those brands and people who use Twitter to promote themselves or their products. They will be able to study which tweets are most popular than others in a more meticulous way. However, only time will tell whether or not this attribute will be rolled out to the individual user.
